Canal 7 of Argentina is the Argentinian TV network founded on October 17, 1951. Before 1999 the network was known as Argentina Televisora Color (ATC — Argentinian Color Television). Being owned, financed and managed by the Argentinian state, Canal 7 is one of the five nation-wide television networks of Argentina. The station is specialized in programs about culture, educational documentaries, covering the events in the country and in the world especially the Governmental activity. ATC was the first Argentinian television station and the first TV channel to conduct the color transmission of football (World Cup of FIFA of 1978, which was held in Argentina). Canal 7 has the lowest rating of the five Argentinian television networks, i.e. the network is often accused that the presented news are of the pro-government trend.
